Steve + Susi | Losehill House

Steve and Susi got in touch with me back at the start of the year. We met up in Hathersage to chat about their wedding plans and for me to of course meet the doggies who are integral to their life. Both Steve and Susi clear on what they wanted and that was to enjoy a day together with an intimate wedding with their closest people around them at Losehill House, they had seen some of my weddings at Losehill House and said they loved what they had seen. They didn’t want my usual full day coverage though because of what they had planned, so when we met we discussed what they wanted covering and I created a bespoke package to cover what they needed.

I arrived for some coverage of bridal prep and to capture the setup for the ceremony, Susi avidly checking the weather forecast to make sure we could still have the ceremony outside. The weather held and guests soon started arriving and taking their seats ready for Susi to arrive. The dogs and Steve already in waiting with the dogs there as ring bearers too.

A lovely ceremony and the dogs did great at looking after the rings for Steve and Susi. Funnily enough though just before they headed back down the aisle I got a shock (in a good way) as one of the guests waiting to throw confetti recognised me. A couple who I haven’t seen since being a young boy and both have known me since I was in nappies!! It always amazes me how small our little world is and how we can bump into people anywhere! Anyway, Steve and Susi walked back down the aisle to a wonderful fun confetti experience before having hugs, congratulations from guests and some well earned fizz.

After the ceremony I stayed to take some group photos with friends and family before we headed down the leafy lane for some portraits of just the two of them. I documented the rest of the afternoon including their speeches and cake cut before leaving everyone to have a lovely afternoon.
