I'm always excited to be a Maynard wedding photographer. It's a spectacular location for your wedding day. Whether you're choosing and intimate celebration or a great big party. The Maynard wedding photos are always stunning in my eyes as a Maynard wedding photographer!

It's in my list of top 10 wedding venues to get married at for the perfect Peak District wedding day. I think what really makes The Maynard so special for a wedding is that you're so close to Padley Gorge for stunning wedding photos. So no need to worry about getting those amazing couple portraits at your wedding.

A fantastic wedding venue for wedding photos.

This is truly a fantastic venue to have your wedding at. I love photographing weddings at The Maynard for so many reasons. My number one reason has to be how lovely the room looks when it's dressed up for both the ceremony and also the wedding breakfast.

Another thing is the stunning views across the Hope Valley means you can get great wedding photos of you at The Maynard. The private lawn area behind the Chatsworth Suite gives plenty of space for some close family wedding photos at The Maynard as well.

Wedding lawn games at The Maynard

The Maynard has a private lawn just next to The Chatsworth Suite which is a perfect place for you and your guests to enjoy some fun after the ceremony. I've seen all sorts on this lawn from garden games to a full on Crazy Golf course being set up. Now the golf course was A LOT of fun and I think all the wedding guests thought the same at Dan + Jade's wedding thought the same!

As well as being fun for games it's also a great space for your wedding guests to enjoy canapés and fizz! With the views across the Hope Valley and Grindleford as a backdrop for your wedding photos at The Maynard.

Welcome friends for a banging party in the Chatsworth Suite at The Maynard. With up to 200 people dancing to your own private band or DJ. You can really can create an amazing party atmosphere on the huge sprung dance floor at The Maynard. I've taken so many amazing wedding party photos here to some amazing bands and DJ's!

Plus their hotel means that you can have your guests staying the night too in their choice of 19 boutique rooms with rooms also available down the road at The George Hotel in Hathersage. But obviously don't forget to save a room for yourselves too.

The Maynard weddings really give you the freedom though to put your stamp on this beautiful Peak District wedding venue. I have been lucky enough to capture so many of The Maynard wedding photos where my couples and their families have transformed the venue. Adding their own unique elements to really reflect their own personality on the venue.

From people adding special photos and wedding themed decorations to the ornate shelving on the walls to transforming the wedding breakfast tables with some help from Perfect Day Stylists. It's a great venue to have the Peak District right on the doorstep and with so many unique locations just a 5 minute drive away it's great for wedding photos at The Maynard. You can take a short 2 minute drive up the road to Padley Gorge for a beautiful tranquil location that feels like a bit of the seaside. To being able to drive further up to Longshaw Woods and even go round the corner to Surprise View looking across the Hope Valley. The Maynard really does leave you spoilt for choice for having some pretty epic Peak District wedding photos.
