Sarah + Toby | Tissington Hall

It’s always lovely to be back at Tissington Hall for a wedding and today was no exception, glorious sunshine was the first order of the day and just carried on right through to the evening. Sarah and Toby had an outdoor ceremony in the gardens of Tissington Hall surrounded by all of their friends and family, the gardens make for an amazing entrance down the grand garden steps which are surrounded by some of the most amazing rose bushes in Derbyshire.

I absolutely loved the vibe of Sarah and Toby’s wedding day, wall to wall sunshine, kids running round having a fun time, canapés galore and plenty of family and friends reconnecting. There was even an outdoor piano to provide the music and just added to the Summer outdoor wedding vibes. After the ceremony the lovely staff at Tissington arranged all the guests around the path at the front of the hall while Sarah and Toby made the long way out of the ceremony and back round through the gardens. That gave us a good 5 minutes to capture some really nice moments between the two of them and then meant we could walk straight into a wonderfully organised bunch of guests all armed with confetti.

After Sarah and Toby had recovered from the bombardment of the confetti line and mingling with some of their guests we did a few family portraits just in time for the canapés to come out. There was loads of time in the garden to capture the relaxed atmosphere of everyone enjoying the canapés, gardens and catching up before everyone headed to the wedding breakfast. While everyone made their way up I took Sarah and Toby for a quick 10 minute portrait session in the grounds before they were announced into their wedding reception to plenty of clapping and cheering.

Straight into the speeches which certainly didn’t disappoint and gave me a chance to capture loads of great reactions to what was being said by Sarah’s dad, Sarah and Toby. We had a little more downtime between the meal and the evening reception where there was some delightful evening light and just 5 minutes of Sarah and Toby’s time gave us a good chance to capture some more portraits without them feeling like they had been dragged around having photos taken all day. I am very much about my couples being able to spend more time with their guests and that’s what Toby and Sarah got to do.

A quick game of Mr and Mrs on the dance-floor and it was time to get into the evening dancing which was a blast, complete with some YMCA and a good love train. Anyway enough from me, have a watch of their photo highlights video below or you can always scroll through the images underneath. Enjoy.
