Mike + Emily | Wood Lane Countryside Centre

Finally, I’m here able to write the blog and share the images with you for Mike + Emily’s big day; after several covid postponements, it’s great to be able to share this lovely day with you. I started off with Emily at the family home for bridal prep with her bridal party and the kids along to provide the entertainment for us too. After seeing the girls get themselves ready for the day ahead I made the journey across Sheffield to meet Mike and the chaps at Wood Lane Countryside Centre for the outdoor ceremony, the sun shining and the boys characteristically relaxed.

Wood Lane is a lovely secluded little venue on the edge of Hillsborough and is a lovely place to shape into creating the venue to match your vision for the day, something Mike + Emily did brilliantly. The weather was stunning which meant the ceremony was outside in the gardens and it was such a happy ceremony with both Emily + Mike beaming with smiles all the way through. After the ceremony, we did a little confetti walk before heading into a few lineup photos that Emily + Mike had requested along with their couple photos and then doing what I do best and covering the documentary moments that happen when everyone relaxes during the reception.

After the speeches, including a hilarious best men’s singing rendition and the meal which was a delicious selection of pies catered by PieMinster, it was time for the ice cream with Adam’s Ice Cream van. Once the food had settled and everyone had refreshed themselves with ice cream and chilling out in the garden it was time for the evening frivolities to start, kicking off with the first dance before seeing everyone else hit the dance floor.
