Marvin and Carole’s wedding

Marvin and Carol’s wedding really was a tribute to 2 people who completely and utterly dote on each other. The wedding itself took place at St Barnabus Church in Bradwell, steadily becoming one of the churches I spend most of my photography time at. After the ceremony everyone jumped aboard a beautiful old vintage single decker bus to make the short trip across the other side of the village to The Samuel Fox to enjoy the wedding ceremony. It’s so far the first wedding reception that I have experienced where there was an actual cheese cake, not a cheesecake, but a stack of rounds of cheese in the form of a cake!! Certainly my idea of heaven!

Earlier on in the morning they had held their own duck race in the river, a pretty traditional thing to do in many of the villages around the Hope Valley. It was great because all the ducks, including the bride and groom ducks, were collected and lined up at the wedding reception. I love photographing these little details at weddings which really help tell a story about the personalities, the relationships and what matters to the couples.
