Jade + Liam | Holmfirth Vineyard

What a day it was for Jade + Liam’s wedding at a vineyard in Holmfirth. Back in September on what had to be one of the hottest days of the year or at least it felt like it was, something ironic about the hot weather and being in amongst the grapes in Yorkshire made me think of Last of the Summer wine. Especially as we were right at the end of Summer and I am pretty sure the vineyard aw the last of the Summer wine consumed by a wedding party who were here to celebrate and have fun.

From the get go when I arrived for bridal prep I knew we were in for a great day, everyone was in high spirits and looking forward to the wedding and the rest of the day. I love walking into an atmosphere like this as it sets the tone for the day, especially so as a bride and groom it sets the tone for the rest of the guests. Liam and Jade you did that so well and the love, laughter and fun that emerged throughout the day was so amazing to document.

After bridal prep I headed up from the on site accommodation at the bottom of the Vineyard and made my way to the top of the Vineyard. What a gorgeous view and a great backdrop looking out over Holmfirth on this glorious day! The ceremony was lovely and so nice to see Jade and Liam reading their own vows to each other before doing a double aisle walk to experience the fun of confetti. Then they were greeted outside with an abundance of congratulations and loving hugs from friends and family before we took a few group photos and I stole them both for a short while to capture some portraits of just Jade and Liam. We used the delightful surroundings of the vineyard and the views out to Holmfirth and I love what we’ve captured; I’d love to come back here and document a wedding again that’s for sure.

We headed back up to the venue where there were plenty of games being played and I loved the Guess Who which had been updated to members of Jade and Liam’s family!! Table football was on the patio as well as a game of throwing bags through the hole in a board; grandad was a bit of a dark horse at this one and bowing out early having won. Some mischief as one of the guests picked a few grapes for themselves and the friends they were sat with, it made me chuckle until they insisted I have one too. These grapes clearly tasting much better when they’re made into white wine!

The speeches before the meal were lovely and some emotional moments as well as some funny ones. I left everyone to their meal while they also completed the quiz that Jade and Liam had set for them all. The wooden spoon and winner’s prizes being presented after the meal with some hilarious celebrations to match.

It was back outside then for beer pong and enjoying the last part of the evening sun. Made even better when we were joined by Back Chat Brass!! What a band these guys are and I think everyone should have them at their wedding, they brought the atmosphere with abundance and they really got these guys going with some early evening dancing on the terrace to some great music before heading back inside to get the party going indoors for the first dance.
