Georgia + Anthony | Aloft Hotel Liverpool

Anthony and Georgia had already had a very small wedding back in April during restrictions but they wanted to make sure they could get themselves dressed up in their Sunday best again to have a whopper of a party. I had a video meeting with this lovely couple towards the start of the year to chat through their plans and what they wanted, they weren’t too fussed about any of the prep shots of them getting ready but really wanted some wedding photos in Liverpool.

I was guided very much by them, what with the Peak District being my stomping ground, it was certainly different to be in the city centre of Liverpool to take their wedding photos. They had decided that they wanted to have some portraits done first and specifically in front of the town hall and the Queens insurance building which they said was like Diagon’s Alley of Liverpool (it’s a Harry Potter reference). They were both lovely locations and we even managed to capture some members of the public who wanted to get involved and share in the happy memories this lovely couple were making.

After we had finished the portraits we headed back to the Aloft hotel to join their friends and family to grab a few group photos they wanted before heading upstairs to the wedding breakfast. In true wedding tradition, though we decided to do a confetti photo from above Georgia and Anthony by using the foyer area and having all the guests shower them with confetti petals from above, it was like having snow indoors. After the wedding breakfast and some emotional (and funny) speeches, it was time for the evening cake cutting and dancing, man could these guys party, it was so much fun to capture them all letting their hair down.
