Demi + Baxter | Tideswell Church + The Maynard

What a gorgeous day for Demi + Baxter. The sun was shining from the very off and not even a hint of rain for these two. I started the day off with bridal prep at their family home. All the girls were in good sprits getting ready, preparing their flower charms and having hair and makeup done. It was lovely to see all their wedding cards wishing them well all lined up on the side in the living room. A lovely first look for everyone as soon as Demi was ready and it was great to see so many animated reactions to just how beautiful she looked in her dress all ready to walk down the aisle to Baxter.

I hotfooted it round the corner to Tideswell Church where a good chunk of the village were lined up outside the church very much awaiting Demi’s arrival. Lots of people making their way from the neighbouring pub to meet Baxter and wish him luck at the entrance to the church before taking their seats. I even managed to snap a quick photo of a strategically parked Crown Scaffolding vehicle opposite the church (Crown Scaffolding is Baxter’s business) which seemed very much apt for the day.

Demi and her bridesmaids and flower girls made a beautiful entrance into this stunning church and the whole ceremony was lovely. After a wonderful confetti line it was time to head over to Padley Gorge for some portraits and then The Maynard for their wedding reception. A slight pause outside church while we waited for some brollies at the threat of rain, thankfully the wait for the brollies meant we had them and didn’t need them, always a good omen. A short trip from Tideswell to Padley Gorge in the Rolls Royce and we had a short time making some gorgeous portraits of these two in the wonderful Peak District countryside. As always a relatively busy spot but we managed mostly to photograph around people (plus a little photoshop to remove them in post) but I couldn’t resist capturing the reality of Demi and Baxter walking past everyone at the ice cream van.

Their guests welcomed them back into the lovely gardens at The Maynard before settling into their reception drinks and wedding breakfast. The speeches were brilliant and plenty of reactions from everyone, keeping people in good spirits before heading into the evening celebrations which brought some awesome dance moves and fun to photograph.
